Sakiori 裂織 farmer's vest. Sakiori, to tear and weave, is a traditional form of textile recycling. When cloth is beyond almost any other use it can be torn into strips and re-woven into sakiori panels. The panels can be used alone as obi belts or joined together to make vest, coats, or blankets. The shoulder is joined with a sashiko quilted panel.
